WE`RE IN LOVE AND HAPPY
...IN MUNICH
WE ARE
HAPPY
IN LOVE WITH
Munich

FOR US MUNICH RESIDENTS
AND OUR GUESTS

“I believe that sharing and giving are fundamental parts of a fulfilling life. With the Münchner Kindl-Taler, I have created a product that not only represents the tradition and history of Munich, but also promotes the sharing of happiness. When we share our happiness, it multiplies and comes back to us. Exactly.” Simply typical Munich.
A few years ago, I took the plunge and left the advertising and communications industry to enter the food and product sector. My goal was to develop products that make people happy, are meaningful, and healthy. So, in 2014, I founded "Münchner Glückskindl GmbH" (Munich Lucky Child Ltd.). I reached my goal in 2016 when, together with Anton Gürtner, I developed the Münchner Kindl-Taler (Munich Child Coin).
It was a challenging process for us (Anton, his bakery team, myself, friends, family…) that involved a lot of work and even more trial and error and tasting. Ultimately, a unique product was created that perfectly represents the city of Munich. – refined, delicious, sustainable. Traditional and made with regional ingredients. It's a product I can present with heart and love.
My own story is strongly connected to the joy of life and the people of Munich. And I love living here.” (Thomas Pflaume, Managing Partner of Munich Glückskindl GmbH)

The Münchner Kindl (Munich Child) is both the city's emblem and an emotional ambassador. It embodies the spirit of participation and sharing in this city. And so, the Münchner Kindl coin is shared daily with friends, guests, and visitors, spreading happiness and raising it to other places. It brings me joy every day to witness how the Münchner Kindl coin increasingly supports the expression of a healthy sense of community. I hope that you, too, will share your happiness – whether with a Münchner Kindl coin or in some other way. Because when we share together, the happiness around us grows, and perhaps the world becomes a little bit more beautiful.
